Project - a vessel for the presentation of a standard and unique one-off piece for Oakley’s new line Sentio. The ask was essentially to house small run of hard cover books (5-10) that serve to memorialize and archive the journey that resulted in the creation of two new sunglass models CMDN and HSTN.
We concepted an idea called : Other Sides of the World
taking the initial idea of book with a false cavity, looked at a extravagant display of the new glasses, the thought is to divide 2 locations: Camden Market & Houston St. Two side of the world for inspiration where sentio sits in the middle of the glasses. Also a collage of the process encased in clear plexi surrounds the glasses as a reminder of the process journey, In the middle sits the book that showcases the whole journey and the amazing effort.

Travis Rice and Chris Rasman went deep into Alaskas Tordillo Mountains. Their trip coincided with about five feet of fresh snow which was followed up by about 100 MPH winds. This lead to long days of searching and even longer nights in the lodge, sipping exotic wines and contemplating fate, or at least thinking about where, oh where, those pockets of good snow might be hiding in Alaska’s Tordillo Mountains. Team Dyno created animations as elements for the Quicksilver Film. The graphics ranged from intro animations and chapter breaks, to dialog subtitles and end credits. Quirky characters supplement the film with personality that follows the nature of the athletes.

Project - For the Kelsen Product line, Dynamic Dynosaur has served as the brand’s backbone providing consistent creative and design support for the brand since it’s 2015 founding to the present. Now a full fledged lineup. Kelsen’s range of unisex grooming essentials are made from a 100% micro-plastic free formula — a special “Marine Performance Blend” of organic kelp, sea holly, and sea rock fennel, sustainably harvested from renewable sources.
Packaging design: housed in eco-conscious packaging, meaning no single use plastics have been used; Kelsen’s pomade comes in a glass container, while the Shampoo + Body Wash and Conditioner tubes are made from 85% plant-based sugarcane. Additionally the seal caps are made from a biodegradable/compostable wood composite. The brand’s ethos “digging in at every turn” is also translated to the artwork featured on the packaging.

We were very fortunate to have worked with Masta Killa and Nature Sounds on Loyalty Is Royalty which is the fourth studio album by Wu-Tang Clan member Masta Killa. The concept of the artwork was based on a loose sketch of a crown embedded with the infamous W by Masta Killa himself, We spent a lot of time putting hidden easter eggs such as his love for chess and homage back to Gordon Liu’s (aka Master Killer) iron rings. A very special piece for us at the studio since we are Wu heads.

Project – Brand Retail Communication
Team Dyno was recruited to define and rebrand the way Nike does business at a consumer level. There were different phases from messaging to type systems. We introduced a new materials palette and innovated “Beacon” and “Specialty” stories that rethought how the brand interacted with the new design language. We considered the hierarchy of how messaging was being received by the consumer. The project repurposed asset generation to improve efficiency of shoots. We questioned how new technology lives beyond a campaign launch and continues its relevance on the floor.

Cloth & Metal:
Founder & CEO: Scott Sablan
Cloth & Metal came to Dynamic Dynosaur to help create their visual identity for their brand. "Cloth" signifies the Apparel portion that the store curates every season and "Metal" stands for the electronic component that represents "music" in home stereos, headphones and music accessories. The store is a line through both Clothing and Electronics. We decided to visually communicate that idea through the branding. Strike right through the words and show a thread line through Cloth & Metal, as a firm gesture with confidence.

Inspired by Alfred Joseph Hitchcock films and a 1963 Bicycle Safety Film entitled "One Got Fat". A modern take on a group of monkey-masked kids who terrorize the streets with skateboards and water balloons. The duel tone treatments were drawn from the color pallet of the water balloons. We end up with this modern horror twist from the perspective of the average pedestrian, skateboarding will forever rule the streets!

The SALT. marketing director JP Collett was keen on setting a new photo direction for the brand. Coincidentally JP is a genuine lifestyle connoisseur, finding solace in 6am surfing and occasionally ripping around on a skateboard. We connect on that level but also in our shared appreciation for beautiful imagery. We decided on a direct approach to avoid distracting consumers from the timelessness of the brand. We worked closely with JP and the marketing team to re-introduce products to consumers while highlighting specific details on key pieces of eyewear. Our goal was to visually tell a high-end, glamorous look and feel story. The tone we aimed to set was dramatic and sophisticated, focusing on classic aesthetics. We framed products as “heroic” by teasing features that emphasized immaculate craftsmanship and the premium materials that make each pair of glasses unique: handmade Italian acetate, Japanese craftsmanship and lens technology by Carl Zeiss Vision.

The brief was to work on a new means to engage with the consumer on the floor. With a sea of guitars at a guitar store, how does fender standout from the crowd? How does Fender start a conversation and make a statement? CBC studios & Team Dyno collaborated on a duel purpose playable fixture. The consumer can actually play the retail fixture that houses the information. The guitar was done in Fender's brand color red. We launched a test of these at Fender's NAAM booth.

UNIQLO'S T-SHIRT GRAND PRIX DESIGN
CELEBRATES STAR WARS
For this project we were interested in the intersection of art and design. Paying tribute to designs found in the original Star Wars trilogy, we selected artwork from our vault and submitted various concepts to Uniqlo. We made sure to step outside the box for this series. We wanted to explore a playful element, combining the classic athletic jersey with discernible symbols that correlate with the opposing forces. We also experimented with kid drawn depictions of our favorite iconic Star Wars characters.
We produced eight graphics for the series which include: Man Within the Man, Duel Sabers, Diamond Vader, Hero and Villain Jerseys and Kirra's Sketchbook Drawing Set.

To celebrate their 20th anniversary, DC Shoes asked us to take on an amazing project in collaboration with legendary skateboard photographer Mike Blabac. Mike and our team worked over a course of three months, meeting and developing something we'd all be proud of. Mike painstaking curated the entire DC Shoes photo vault to craft the story, while on our end it was about focusing on design materials and how they played an interesting role in shifting the mood of the book as you journeyed through it. The production quality was as much a priority as the photography. Three different paper stocks, metallic ink, uv varnish, spot varnish, dies, black foil, silk screen. This was a designer's dream. Big thanks to DC Creative Director, Deven Stephens, and SVP of Marketing, Jeff Taylor, for the opportunity to go all out on this puppy.

Dynamic Dynosaur worked with DC Shoes to create the “Destructive Creatures" series which is actually an acronym for DC. We had to figure out a clever way to introduce the surf team athletes and the regions from where they reside. The campaign is a nod to the fun side of DC and was more about being new, innovative and different while remaining progressive. We chose stop motion as our vehicle expanding the visually creative possibilities and scenarios. We created a theme and then brought our ideas to life, leaving it up to our imaginations as to how we wanted to tell the story.
The campaign was used for online and print advertising, in-store graphics, and included a video short featuring original artwork by Jose Emroca Flores, shot and animated by the DC films team.

Incase products varied from large bags, to smaller containers and waterproof housings... essentially all the gear that mattered to outdoor lifestyle photographers and videographers. We showcased products in a simple but elegant setting, allowing the technical qualities to shine.

The Nike Sportswear team asked Dynamic Dynosaur to come up with designs that connect a city-life aesthetic to their sportswear culture. We considered how these iconic designs have subliminally inspired us to stay active and creative while growing up. All graphics were centered around the premise of the Nike "AIR" symbol, an exploration of Nike’s iconic brand mark and original logos interpreted for a modern audience.
